After Easter we always have a few leftover Peeps hanging around. They are usually a little too hard to enjoy eating by themselves. Torching them seems a little evil, but it’s so much fun AND yummy.
The other night we decided to go for it. The weather was a tad bit chilly, so it was perfect for a back porch fire pit.
Chris has the fire making down to a science. He made the perfect little teepee for just the right amount of airflow for a nice strong fire.
Way to go dear. If I could type out Tim the Tool Mans grunt I would. Let’s just pretend.
The kiddos were pretty excited too. I mean who doesn’t love sugary, marshmallowy, chocolatey goodness. And getting to semi-play with fire.
As as you can see, they didn’t really want to get too close. Plus neither one of them want their Peep burnt. So the peep burning was really up to us parents.
Mmm crispy chick.
Who are we kidding? Any part of eating peeps or s’mores is the best.
Here are just a few pictures of the set up. It’s always easier to have your s’mores set up and ready to plop your marshmallow down.
Thats it y’all. So easy, but a great idea for family nights or even bonfire parties!
Have you made these before? Or do you have some other peeps recipes?
