Cheddar, Sausage and Biscuits. Yes, please.
I am all about some quick and easy meals. Especially in the mornings when everyone is HANGRY (not hungry) and ready for something fast. This recipe does the trick.
These are are all the ingredients you need. Plus a half a roll of sausage.
The recipe is easy to double too if you have a crowd. This recipe I use makes around 10-12 biscuits.
Start by frying the sausage. Once it warms up you can break it into pieces with your spatula.
Follow the the directions on the Bisquick box for the amount of Bisquick, milk and preheating the oven to 450 degrees.
Mix up the Bisquick and milk and get ready to dump in the sausage and cheese.
Once the sausage is browned through, you’ll make sure it’s drained. Then toss it into your biscuit mix with 2 cups of shredded cheddar.
It already looks good enough to eat doesn’t it? Mmmmm. Mix it all together well and drop spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
I bake mine for around 12 minutes. I like for the cheese to melt enough to get crispy on the bottom. There’s nothing like crispy melted cheese.
Or maybe I should say I’m sorry. Once you try these you will crave them again and again. Sometimes I even make a little side of gravy out of the leftover sausage drippings. But that’s dangerous,
Cheddar Sausage Biscuits
2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
2 cups sharp shredded cheddar
1/2 roll of mild sausage
Do you and your family have a quick go-to breakfast recipe? I’d love to hear it.
